THE SKY IS FALLING UPDATE
"Iraq is disintegrating," writes the UK Independent:
"Iraq's election result: a divided nation "

Religious fundamentalists now have the upper hand."
So the question is, what will they do with it? In any case the die is cast. While history supports this particular "chicken little" analysis, what matters isn't yesterday but tomorrow.
As for myself, I'll hope for the best while expecting - and preparing for - the worst...

I caught this article, and it occurred to me that it could easily be slightly rewritten to be about "Red and Blue States" in the US.
Shocking that people would vote in their own best interests, and for people that thought like they did.
Like Churchill said, Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others.
